House of Lobkowicz at This Year’s Colours of Ostrava!

One of the Czech Republic’s most popular yearly festivals, Colours of Ostrava, includes the Melting Pot lecture forum, where professionals from all around the world and all different kinds of fields share their unique perspectives. This year, William Lobkowicz gladly accepted the invitation and travelled to Ostrava to share the story of the Lobkowicz Collections. In his presentation, titled "The Role of Art in Creating a Better World", he narrated the astonishing last 30 years of the Lobkowicz family, covering exile, confiscation by the Nazis and Communists, and the difficult period of restitution and restoration. Of course, William did not leave out the reconstruction of the Antonín Dvořák Birth House, where the House of Lobkowicz is pioneering a world-class museum and cultural center based around the legendary composer.
