Tours of the Antonín Dvořák Birth House

Every symphony takes time.

The Antonín Dvořák Birth House is now open in a pilot test phase Tuesday—Sunday from 09:00–17:00.

What does this mean for you? This is an opportunity to invite you to see the house in the making, and share your feedback so that we can be constantly improving and enhancing the visitor experience. This is not just a museum. This is a living and breathing musical heritage site, inspired by the sights and sounds of your surroundings—and your interaction with it.

Take advantage of discounted admission and we thank you for your patience and understanding during this pilot period. We look forward to welcoming you.

Museum:

A house that makes you listen…
Connecting music and place, the immersive and interactive visitor experience is inspired by the sights and sounds of Dvořák’s rural childhood to reveal their influences on his future musical masterpieces. An exhibition of historic objects and imaginative displays combines engaging multimedia content, including a personal audio guide experience, narrated by an older Antonín Dvořák. Visitors will dwell in the authentic atmosphere of the house itself, while also learning the story of Dvořák’s early life. The house and grounds also serve as a cultural center offering dedicated music education courses, workshops, concerts, a meditation garden, and community enrichment programs for visitors of all ages and capabilities.

Tours:
We recommend buying a timed ticket online (to reserve a time slot). Visitors walk through the exhibition independently with an audio guide. We recommend allowing 60 minutes for the tour. The last visitor will be allowed into the exhibition 30 minutes before the end of the visiting time. For capacity reasons, larger groups are kindly requested to book in advance by emailing: dvorakuvdum@lobkowicz.cz
