Pumpkin Festival at Nelahozeves Castle

Autumn at Nelahozeves Castle is magical, and this year we’re turning it into one big pumpkin adventure. Come enjoy a day full of crafts, games, and fun for the whole family. You can look forward to a colorful program ranging from pumpkin carving to an evening lantern parade, along with tasty autumn treats and pumpkin specialties.

The gates of Nelahozeves Castle will be open on Saturday, October 18, from 10:00  to 18:00 and you are warmly invited!

Program

What’s waiting for you?

- Pumpkin carving and a contest for the best one

- Decorating pumpkin-shaped gingerbread cookies

- Making autumn decorations, scarecrows, and lanterns

- A mysterious fortune-telling corner

- Castle cellar games and other fun challenges: obstacle course, sack race, and pumpkin toss

- A grand lantern parade to close the day—with lanterns you make yourself or bring from home

And of course—plenty of delicious food and drinks!

Ticket Price

On-site admission:

- Adults: 180 CZK

- Children (ages 5–12), students, seniors: 120 CZK

- Family ticket (2 adults + 2 children ages 5–12): 480 CZK

- 20% discount on-site with a valid Czech Railways ticket dated October 18

A Year in the Village: Feather Stripping

On the same day as the Pumpkin Festival, you can also visit the Antonín Dvořák Birth House, just a few steps from Nelahozeves Castle! Discover the traditions of Czech village life, learn how feathers were stripped, and hear the spooky stories that used to be told to children during the work.
