Cooperation with Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem
A Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation was signed on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Střekov Castle, by House of Lobkowicz and J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem.
The future cooperation envisages a number of scholarly, educational, and research projects, with the active participation of students and professors of the university and the Lobkowicz Collections curators and experts. This is the first cooperation between the House of Lobkowicz and a public state university, which is also a research organization and the most important educational institution in the Ústí nad Labem region. That is why the medieval Střekov Castle, one of the landmarks of Ústí nad Labem, was chosen for the signing of the Memorandum. Thanks to this cooperation, university students will have a unique opportunity for research activities in historical buildings and collections containing art objects and artefacts, some of which are more than 900 years old.
