Nelahozeves Castle

Mere 35 km from Prague lies one of the few well-preserved Renaissance castles in Czechia. During your tour of the castle, you will discover not only architecture inspired by the Italian Renaissance style but also an exhibition dedicated to the daily life of the nobility in the 19th century.

The MenART Academy, in collaboration with House of Lobkowicz, invites you to the festive conclusion of a year-long program for the piano, violin, and cello sections, led by top-tier mentors. On this special day in Nelahozeves, talented young musicians from the groups led by pianist Ivo Kahánek, violinist Jan Fišer, and cellist Tomáš Jamník will present the results of their efforts. Together, they continue the tradition of supporting the next generation of artists in the very places where Antonín Dvořák’s talent was forged.

The Canterville Ghost at Nelahozeves Castle

Jaroslav Kříž, director of the Municipal Hálka Theater in Nymburk, has taken on the task of bringing to life Oscar Wilde’s cheerful and, to a certain extent, suspenseful story, *The Canterville Ghost*. A well-known story, with well-known actors and a real ghost—that is the motto of this famous and beloved Czech play, which was also adapted into a film starring Jiřina Bohdalová and Jiří Bartoška back in 1989.

Antonín Dvořák Birth House

Take a glimpse into the childhood of one of the greats of not only Czech but also global music, Antonín Dvořák. In his birth house, you will discover both life in a 19th-century village and the rich sources of inspiration for his work.

The museum combines traditional and modern elements—an interactive audiovisual exhibition will guide you through the past. You can immerse yourself in Dvořák’s childhood every day except Monday and also attend regularly held exciting events.

Střekov Castle

The majestic ruins of the Gothic Střekov Castle are one of the most prominent landmarks of Ústí nad Labem, towering over the city on a steep 250-meter-high rock. Every year, it ranks among the most visited cultural monuments in northern Bohemia.

In addition to the panoramic view of the surroundings, visitors to Střekov can explore exhibits featuring replicas of knightly armor, artistic drawings, and historical photographs. On top of that, we regularly host events at Střekov that are suitable for the whole family.

Lobkowicz Palace

No one visiting Prague Castle should miss the opportunity to explore this elegant 16th-century palace. In addition to a stunning view of Prague, it houses a museum filled with unique historical artifacts and a vast collection of paintings by world-renowned artists such as Bruegel, Canaletto, and Velázquez.

Visitors are guided through the museum by an audio guide, available in a total of 11 languages, which is included in the ticket price. Besides the permanent exhibition, you can also attend regular concerts and temporary exhibitions.

Temporary Exhibition: From Inkwell to Typweriter – learn more

Until October 29, 2026

Do you know what a nécessaire is? What does a hot-air balloon ride have to do with an inkwell? Why were letters sealed, and how was it done? Our new temporary exhibition, "From Inkwell to Typewriter," answers these questions and more. Starting Friday, October 31, 2025, the exhibition will enrich the museum’s permanent collection for one full year. One unique feature: every few weeks, it will showcase a different original handwritten letter from historical figures such as Louis XIV, Rudolf II, or Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.



Classical Music Concert

Every Day, 13:00 – 14:00

Enjoy masterpieces of classical music in the magnificent Concert Hall, whose ceiling is adorned with original frescoes by Fabián Šebastián Václav Harovník from the mid-17th century. The Concert Hall opens 15 minutes before the concert begins.

Zámek Lobkowicz Roudnice Winery

Discover one of the largest castles in the Czech Republic with over 200 rooms, 4 wings, 12 corridors, and 365 windows. This majestic Baroque castle, built on the foundations of a 12th-century Romanesque castle, rises above the Elbe River in the heart of the historic town of Roudnice nad Labem, about 50 km from Prague.

The castle is also home to a winery that has been producing excellent wine for 400 years, reflecting the unique local terroir. And as if that weren’t enough, the Roudnice Castle also hosts many interesting events.

We invite you to the largest Witcher and fantasy festival in the Czech Republic. You can look forward to concerts, theatrical performances, a cosplay contest, workshops, demonstrations of historical fencing and traditional crafts, horse shows, lectures, a medieval marketplace, a role-playing game, an artist gallery, and many other activities. The bands Weljar, Percival, and ŻNIWA will be performing.

Opening of the Kvevri

Last year, we filled clay vessels called kvevri with wine at the winery. The wine has been maturing underground ever since, and now it’s finally time to taste it. Come join us and experience this thousand-year-old winemaking tradition that has its roots in Georgia.
