Temporary Exhibition: From Inkwell to Typweriter – learn more
Until October 29, 2026
Do you know what a nécessaire is? What does a hot-air balloon ride have to do with an inkwell? Why were letters sealed, and how was it done? Our new temporary exhibition, "From Inkwell to Typewriter," answers these questions and more. Starting Friday, October 31, 2025, the exhibition will enrich the museum’s permanent collection for one full year. One unique feature: every few weeks, it will showcase a different original handwritten letter from historical figures such as Louis XIV, Rudolf II, or Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
