No one visiting Prague Castle should miss the opportunity to explore this elegant 16th-century palace. In addition to a stunning view of Prague, it houses a museum filled with unique historical artifacts and a vast collection of paintings by world-renowned artists such as Bruegel, Canaletto, and Velázquez.
Visitors are guided through the museum by an audio guide, available in a total of 11 languages, which is included in the ticket price. Besides the permanent exhibition, you can also attend regular concerts and temporary exhibitions.

Temporary Exhibition: From Inkwell to Typweriter – learn more

Do you know what a nécessaire is? What does a hot-air balloon ride have to do with an inkwell? Why were letters sealed, and how was it done? Our new temporary exhibition, "From Inkwell to Typewriter," answers these questions and more. Starting Friday, October 31, 2025, the exhibition will enrich the museum’s permanent collection for one full year. One unique feature: every few weeks, it will showcase a different original handwritten letter from historical figures such as Louis XIV, Rudolf II, or Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

Enjoy masterpieces of classical music in the magnificent Concert Hall, whose ceiling is adorned with original frescoes by Fabián Šebastián Václav Harovník from the mid-17th century. The Concert Hall opens 15 minutes before the concert begins.
