Filming & Photoshoots at Roudnice Castle

Our most popular location for films, this grand Baroque castle with over 200 rooms offers ample space and versatility. From the cellars of the castle winery to the 17th-century chapel boasting magnificent frescoes, this historic setting offers a variety of unique architectural elements. Roudnice Castle has been featured in several films, TV shows, and music videos including BBC’s The Musketeers, All Quiet on the Western Front, and singer Ben Gregory’s “blue sea blue” featuring dancers from the Czech National Ballet.

Practical Information

General:

Filming and photoshoot capacity will vary based on location. Certain areas are more restricted because of exhibited artwork or their accessibility to the public.

Utilities Services:

Access to water, electricity, and gas.

Accommodation:

Accommodation is not available directly on Roudnice Castle grounds. The town of Roudnice nad Labem, as well as neighboring towns, offer some limited accommodation. However, there is greater availability and choice in Prague, which is only approximately 40 minutes by car or 1 hour by train.

Catering

To keep your cast and crew energized and satisfied on-set, we are happy to arrange local catering providers in the town of Roudnice nad Labem or elsewhere. We do not offer in-house catering services at Roudnice Castle at this time.
