74th Annual Dvořákova Nelahozeves Festival

September 7, 2025 — Nelahozeves Castle & Antonín Dvořák Birth House

As every year, the town of Nelahozeves — birthplace of Antonín Dvořák — will honor the life and work of this great composer.

This year also marks the anniversary of the birth of Czech-Austrian music critic Eduard Hanslick, whose support helped Dvořák gain recognition. Hanslick’s opinions mattered so much to Dvořák that he often revised his compositions based on his critiques.

Festival visitors can look forward to two concerts — one at the Antonín Dvořák Birth Houseand one at Nelahozeves Castle — along with a talk exploring Hanslick’s influence on Dvořák’s music and life.

Join us on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in Nelahozeves to experience the best of classical music in the hometown of one of its greatest geniuses.
