Wines from Roudnice on the World Stage

In 2026, wines from the Lobkowicz Winery received top honors at the Prague Wine Trophy Premium, Berliner Wine Trophy, Král vín competition, and the National Wine Competition of the Czech Republic.

While international competitions let us compare our wines with producers worldwide, the National Wine Competition serves as a benchmark for the finest wines of the Czech Republic. Success in both areas confirms that the character of the Roudnice vineyards resonates across different styles, traditions, and judging panels.

Each harvest at Lobkowicz Winery brings new challenges and decisions. For us, these awards are above all a confirmation that this long-term commitment is worthwhile. They recognize not only the quality of our wines, but also the care, patience, and respect for a landscape that has shaped winemaking here for more than 400 years.

Pinot Noir 2024

A key factor in the success of Pinot Noir was its maturation in oak barrels, which added complexity and structure while preserving the variety’s natural fruit character and elegance. Combined with high-quality grapes and meticulous work in both the vineyard and the cellar, it resulted in a wine that impressed judges in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Pinot Noir 2024 received Prague Premium Gold, a Gold Medal at the Berliner Wine Trophy, a Gold Medal at the National Wine Competition, and recognition from Král vín.

Fratava 2023

Fratava highlights the potential of Czech red wines to succeed not only at home but also on the international stage. Its awards are a testament to the fact that meticulous work in the vineyard and thoughtful craftsmanship in the cellar yield exceptional results.

The wine received Prague Premium Gold, a Silver Medal at the Berliner Wine Trophy, and a Gold Medal at the National Wine Competition.

Svatovavřinecké Rosé

According to our winemakers, the success of Svatovavřinecké Rosé lies in its balance of freshness, fruit expression, and harmony. Notes of strawberries and raspberries are complemented by lively acidity, qualities that judges consistently value in outstanding rosé wines.

Svatovavřinecké Rosé received Prague Gold, a Gold Medal at the Berliner Wine Trophy, and a Silver Medal in the 50 Great Rosé Wines of the World competition. It was also the only Czech wine to place in that competition.
