Come celebrate the start of the wine season

Come celebrate the start of the wine season in the unique setting of Nelahozeves Castle. A day full of wine, music, fine dining, and fun for the whole family awaits you.

You can look forward to this year’s fermented wine, wine tastings from our winery and other carefully selected Moravian wineries, live music, contests, a food court, and a rich program for both children and adults. The event will also feature creative workshops, a children’s play area, a wine-themed photo booth, and a picnic area in the castle garden.

Lobkowicz Wine Tasting

You can look forward to a Lobkowicz wine tasting led by the director of our winery, Václav Hajduch. During this one-hour program, you’ll taste eight wines produced by the Lobkowicz Winery and learn more about its history and the individual grape varieties.

The Iconic Vlašák from the Dunajov Hills

During this individual tasting, you’ll sample a total of 21 wines from seven wineries. The first wine from each winery will be a Ryzlink vlašský, allowing you to compare the different approaches of the winemakers, the terroir, and the character of each wine. The next two samples from each winery will showcase carefully selected varieties and styles, rounding out this unique wine-tasting experience.

What to Expect Throughout the Day

In addition to wine tastings, you can also look forward to a rich supporting program. Live music will fill the grounds all day long, and families with children will also find plenty to enjoy, with creative workshops, face painting, a kids’ play area, and other activities prepared just for them. There will also be contests and the chance to have a picnic in the castle gardens. Kattia & Basalty Band and the group STALOSE will perform at the festival.

Visitors who arrive at the festival by Czech Railways train and present a valid ticket at the ticket office will receive a 20% discount on admission.
