What Awaits You

On the second weekend of Advent, December 5 and 6, 2026, Nelahozeves Castle will come alive with traditional Advent celebrations. Christmas markets will open in the courtyard and around the castle, featuring a wide selection of craft and themed stalls where visitors can find unique gifts, traditional products, and festive treats.

Christmas carols and concerts will be performed throughout the weekend, and visitors can also look forward to theater performances, a visit from St. Nicholas accompanied by an angel and a devil, train rides, and creative workshops. A Christmas café will be open in the Arcade Hall, and in the castle cellars, visitors can stop by for a concert or sample wines from the Zámek Lobkowicz Roudnice winery. The highlight of the program will be the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree.

Family Christmas Game: Save Czech Christmas

What if one morning it turned out that Christmas had disappeared? The Christmas Grump stole the star from the tree—and with it, the magic of a Czech Christmas. It’s up to the visitors to help bring it back.

Upon entry, participants will receive a game map and set off on an adventurous journey through the castle grounds. At each station, they’ll complete tasks inspired by Czech Christmas traditions. Every task they complete brings them closer to the main goal: returning the lost star to the top of the Christmas tree and saving Czech Christmas.

The game is included in the ticket price and is designed for both children and adults who want to experience Advent at the castle in a slightly different way.

Program

On both days, you can look forward to a varied program for young and old alike:

- Christmas train in the courtyard
- Lokvar Theater Group: Čert tě vem!
- Music by Špalíček Praha (Sunday only)
- Kralupy Music School Big Band
- Christmas photo booth with photo printing
- Exhibition and sale of paintings by Marcel Kozak Art
- Čertovské peklo in the castle cellars (Saturday only)
- Hosted program throughout the day

Admission

Tickets are available in advance at a discounted price of 100 Kč—only through November 30.

Starting December 1, admission prices will be as follows:  

Adults: 220 Kč
Children (ages 5–12), students, and seniors: 150 Kč  
Family admission (2 adults + 2 children): 590 Kč 

Every visitor who presents a valid Czech Railways train ticket upon entry will receive a 20% discount on admission.
