Advent Festival at Nelahozeves Castle

Come and enjoy a fairytale-like Advent atmosphere! The castle grounds in Nelahozeves will transform into a magical place full of festive scents, twinkling lights, and holiday cheer.

Dozens of stalls will offer handmade gifts, homemade treats, and Christmas decorations. Kids can look forward to games, workshops, and surprises, while adults can savor mulled wine, punch, and seasonal delicacies.

Live music will set the perfect festive tone throughout the day.

- Children’s workshops in the castle cellar – painting wooden shapes

- Painting and making Christmas ornaments

- Painting lanterns

- Making candle holders

- “Ježíšek’s Mail” (letters to Baby Jesus)

- Decorating gingerbread cookies

On both days, the castle cellar will turn into a wine bar with live music. You’ll be able to sample a wide selection of Lobkowicz wines, and the duo VilMa – made up of Zuzana Vilímová and Slávek Maděra – will perform five times throughout the day.

A Year in the Village: Advent

November 29, 2025, Antonín Dvořák Birth House

On Saturday, November 29, just steps from Nelahozeves Castle, you can experience Advent the way little Toník Dvořák did in the 19th century. Forgotten or long-lost traditions will come to life again.

This event is part of the Year in the Village series, which brings Czech village traditions to life through fun and creative activities. The program also includes an Advent wreath workshop led by Pavla Hubalová.
