The Order of the Golden Fleece exclusively on display in the Lobkowicz Palace

January 20-21, 2023, 10:00 -18:00

Symbolic entrance fee of 30 CZK

One of the most prestigious honors granted by monarchs to members of prestigious Catholic families since 1430 will be specially exhibited on Friday January 20 and Saturday January 21, 2023, in the Lobkowicz Palace at Prague Castle. Visitors will be able to get a rare look at historical replicas of the Order of the Golden Fleece from the 19th century, which were made for the needs of the Lobkowicz Family.

Through this event, the House of Lobkowicz joins the exhibition of the Czech crown jewels and, as part of the anniversary of 30 years of independence in the Czech Republic, will open the Lobkowicz Palace Museum for a symbolic entrance fee of 30 CZK. In addition to several replicas of the Order of the Golden Fleece, visitors will also be able to see the permanent exhibition of the Lobkowicz Collections, featuring paintings by world-famous artists such as Bruegel, Canaletto, Velázquez, and others; and annotated scores by legendary composers such as Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven. Uniquely, areas that are normally inaccessible in the palace, such as the Imperial Hall, will also be open to the public. The Lobkowicz Palace will be open for visitors from 10:00 to 18:00.
