Childhood as an Inspirational Source for the Artist
           
We are excited to invite you to the International Cultural-Historical Conference on "Childhood as an Inspirational Source for the Artist," taking place on September 9th at the newly opened Antonín Dvořák Birth House. This conference will gather scholars and enthusiasts to explore the cultural and historical legacy of Central Europe, with a focus on Antonín Dvořák's life and work.

Highlighted presentations include Michael Beckerman on the significance of Dvořák’s lullabies, Ivana Círová Hacmacová and Barbora Števanka Kadlíčková discussing Terezie Liehmannová's cookbook and its connection to Dvořák, and Eleonore Kinsky providing insights into the new museum at Dvořák's birthplace. Additionally, Tomáš Slavický will explore the influence of Dvořák’s early musical environment on his later works, Veronika Vejvodová will analyze a piano album from Dvořák’s youth, and Kateřina Viktorová will focus on Smetana's early years in Havlíčkův Brod.

Due to the limited capacity of the lecture room, we also passive participants to register by August 30 and online participants can register until September 8 via email petr.slouka@lobkowicz.cz
