250,000 Czech crowns for humanitarian organization MAGNA

On Friday, May 6, 2022, Alexandra and William Lobkowicz presented the founder of humanitarian organization MAGNA, Denisa Augustinová, with the total proceeds raised at the “Tribute to Heroes” benefit. This event took place on April 28, 2022, in the Lobkowicz Palace at Prague Castle and featured a concert of the Czech Sinfonietta led by Radek Baborák, two photography exhibitions, and a silent auction of canvases from the “Queens of Ukraine” project. A sum of 250,000 CZK, which was collected and transferred, will contribute to the purchase and delivery of medication and medical supplies for clinics and hospitals in Ukraine. These funds will also go towards mobile healthcare teams operated by MAGNA in war zones. William Lobkowicz commented, “Our support of MAGNA’s activities does not end by handing over the proceeds from this event.”

The “Tribute to Heroes” benefit evening is only one of many activities that have allowed the Lobkowicz family and House of Lobkowicz entities to express their solidarity with the people of Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion. All Lobkowicz sites have been flying the Ukrainian flag, and the Lobkowicz Palace Museum is offering free admission to all Ukrainian citizens until the end of May. Ukrainian families could also visit the popular family-oriented Pottery Festival free of charge, which takes place at Nelahozeves Castle every April.
